The hotel is gorgeous and fairly clean, the staff are welcoming, location is magnificent to local pubs. They provide coffee, tea, toast, cereal and fruit, that is lovely. It offers exceptional services and has a great breakfast choices.

Recommended for families looking for cozy stays

On arrival the host Bob offered a different room upstairs which was a lovely large room with an equally large shower room. The breakfast was a standout moment we got to enjoy fresh cooked food and had a nice chat with Bob who gave us great tips for the day.

It wasn't inexpensive but for the quality it was acceptable.

Unfortunately, there were some hiccups. Getting through to let ourselves in was a challenge, as the post code didn't lead us directly to the hotel. The steep stairs up to the room posed a bit of a problem, and on occasion, cleanliness standards felt inconsistent. The arrangement of breakfast items seemed disorganized, with some items served lukewarm. Privacy was also a concern when staff attempted to access the room while we were there.

The breakfast was excellent, especially with fresh fruit and a full English. The room had an awful damp muggy smell.

I had a fantastic stay with a spacious, well-designed bathroom and an excellent breakfast that was fresh and cooked to order. The entire environment felt so cozy! I did note that the stairs leading to the room were quite steep.

The location by the canal is lovely, and it offers easy access to local pubs for food. The room was cozy with ample parking right in front.

The breakfast arrangements were a bit confusing. We had to help ourselves on our first day.

The room was neat and bright, and the breakfast was delish, really filling. We got to chat with the host during our meals. Parking was a bit tight. It was a sweet stay!

The brambles was a cozy spot with a lovely large room and a very spacious shower room. We enjoyed the complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was fresh and had a good selection. It's also close to a great restaurant that was hard to find on the gps.

Comfortable standard double room with excellent amenities, including refreshing power showers and a generous refreshments tray. Breakfast offered a good variety with fresh coffee that was appreciated. The only drawbacks were some confusion around breakfast arrangements and access to the hotel, which could be improved. Ample parking available is a plus, but not always easy to find due to tight spaces.

This place fulfilled all our needs perfectly, with its clean property and welcoming staff, situated in a peaceful countryside location next to a restaurant, park, and nature.
